Boosting the English writing competence through the use of discourse connectors

Introduction. Discourse connectors are linguistic elements which main aim is to join sentences and provide fluency the text. Objective. The present study investigates relationship between discourse improvement of writing competence in students third semester at Carrera de Pedagogy los Idioms Nationals y Estrangers, October 2020 – February 2021 academic period. Methodology. research was qualitative quantitative, cross-sectional correlational type with an experimental design a literary review variables. population consisted 30 from 12 women 18 men, they were 20 24 years old. To collect information, survey 23 questions elaborated validated by two experts field. They rated validity, relevance coherence. results allowed establish strategies activities teach connectors.
